Pune, 9th December 2025: Today, Pune is likely to witness heavy traffic congestion on the Market Yard area as the mortal remains of senior social activist Dr. Baba Adhav will be kept for public darshan at Hamal Bhavan. The darshan will be open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM, and a large turnout is expected.
In view of the anticipated crowd, the Pune Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory urging citizens to avoid the Market Yard and Shivneri Road routes during the day.
Commuters have been advised to use alternate routes via Gangadham Chowk through Nehru Road and Seven Love Chowk, or via Chandralok Chowk towards Satara Road, to reach their destinations.
The traffic department has appealed to citizens to cooperate and strictly follow police instructions to ensure smooth and safe traffic movement throughout the day.
