Pune, 19 November 2025: A shocking robbery took place in Pune’s Deccan area after midnight when a group of masked men barged into Anant Restaurant & Bar and created havoc inside the premises. The incident happened around 1.30 am and has caused concern in the neighbourhood.
According to officials, four men wearing masks arrived with machetes and forced their way into the restaurant by breaking open the closed shutter. They threatened the staff, vandalised parts of the establishment and forcibly took cash from the counter. The gang reportedly escaped with around ₹15,000 to ₹20,000.
The sudden attack in such a central and busy part of Pune has left the owners and local residents worried about rising late-night crimes. Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
