Pune: MIT-ADT university students to share technology and innovation platforms with Tech Mahindra

Pune: MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT-ADT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tech Mahindra Company for collaborating across space, agriculture and healthcare technology services. Due to this MoU, university students can now share technology and innovative platforms related to space and agri-tech projects undertaken by the Tech Mahindra Company.

Tech Mahindra's Global Innovation Head Nikhil Malhotra and MIT ADT University's Vice-Chancellor and Executive President Prof Dr Mangesh Karad signed the MoU. Tech Mahindra's Pankaj Sharma, Shreenivas Chetlapalli, Akash Dolas, Umesh Kad, MIT-ADTs Prof Sunita Mangesh Karad, Shivsharan Mali, Dr Mohit Dubey, Dr Kishor Ravande, Suraj Bhoyar and others attended the MoU signing event. The MoU will help students establish their own start-up companies.

Nikhil Malhotra said, "Key areas of the MoU includes projects related to space, agri-tech and health-tech. We can help students to understand nitty-gritty involved in technologies that can be used to improve the customer experience while interacting with businesses online. Resources and skills will be shared which will improve the standard of research undertaken. Students will be offered a window into the important domains of commercial technologies."

Prof Mangesh Karad said, "The MoU will help students work closely with the industry. It will ensure that graduating students are job-ready when they complete their education from the university. Shared skills and expertise will benefit both the university and industry. Technological excellence in the fields of space, agriculture and health technologies must benefit all sections of society."

Dr Rahul More said, "The collaboration with Tech Mahindra Company will help us co-create smart solutions for the future by leveraging next-generation technologies like space, agriculture and health technology. The Atal Incubation Mission (AIM) is tapping into the immense potential of students. It is addressing the evolving technological needs of local industries and also significantly improving skills and future employability of students. It will also help in fostering a culture of innovation."
