Pune, 6th April 2026: A fatal road accident in Pune claimed the life of a 19-year-old youth on the evening of April 5, 2026. The incident took place around 5:00 PM near Cloud Nine in the Mohammadwadi area.
According to police, a water tanker allegedly being driven at high speed rammed into a two-wheeler. The rider, identified as Arif Shaikh, suffered severe injuries in the collision.
He was immediately rushed to Ruby Hospital in Wanowrie for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead after examination.
Officials from Kalepadal Police Station have taken the tanker driver, Ravindra Bhimrao Danane (34), into custody. Senior Police Inspector Mansing Patil said that the case is under investigation and further action will follow based on findings.
