Pune Municipal Corporation: List of Members Elected to Six Key Committees

Cross-Party panel formation announced; experienced and new corporators get similar representation

Pune, 14 February 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation on Friday elected 78 members to six important committees that play a key role in civic governance. The committees include the City Improvement Committee, Law Committee, Women and Child Welfare Committee, Sports Committee, Naming Committee and Education Committee.

Of the total members, 60 belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party, reflecting the party’s dominant position in the civic body.

The General Body meeting was held at 3 pm at the PMC headquarters. During the meeting, BJP, Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party submitted their respective lists of nominees in sealed envelopes to Mayor Manjusha Nagpure. The Mayor later announced the names officially.

Party leaders stated that while nominating members, care was taken to ensure that both senior and newly elected corporators were given opportunities. They also emphasized that an effort was made to maintain geographical balance across different parts of the city.
