According to preliminary information, both worked together as lab technicians at a well-known hospital in Pune. Divya lived with her family in the Airport area, and her father serves in the police department. Ganesh lived in a rented room in the city.

On Saturday night, Ganesh’s body was discovered on the railway tracks near Talegaon. Around the same time, Divya’s relatives filed a missing complaint with the police after they failed to contact her. While the search for Divya was underway, police visited Ganesh’s residence, where they found her dead body inside his room.

Both bodies have been sent to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police sources said Divya had visible injuries on her nose and face, raising suspicion that she may have been assaulted before her death. Investigators are exploring the possibility of murder followed by suicide.

Further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the incident.
