Pune: Night curfew to be imposed at party hotspots of the district? Lonavala, Lavasa on radar

Pune: District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh has sent an official proposal on Thursday to the Secretary of disaster management department of the state government seeking permission for imposing night curfew at party ‘hotspots’ around the district. The restrictions on movement during night hours – 11 pm to 6 am will be applicable from December 25, 2020 to January 5, 2021 at all tourist locations and resorts and farm houses in the district once the state government approves the proposal.

The New Year's eve is just around the corner and many people throng several tourist spots around Pune district for the celebrations.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Pune Rural) Milind Mohite also confirmed the developments and said that Pune Rural Police teams will be conducting regular checks at all the resorts and farmhouses in the rural areas of the district as well as other tourist spots if the state government gives its approval for the proposal.

District Collector Deshmukh has mentioned specific locations where the night curfew will be imposed. The locations are as follows:

Lonavala, Amby Valley, Lavasa City, Bhushi Dam, Mulshi Dam, Tamhini Ghat, Sinhagad Road, Khadakwasla, Hinjewadi IT Park, Chakan MIDC, Mhalunge
