A special programme was held at the Yerawada Police Station, where Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil and Deputy Commissioner of Police Somay Munde handed over 209 phones recovered from Zone 4. Police traced the devices after verifying complaints registered on the CEIR and Lost & Found portals.

Citizens attending the event said that getting back their phones meant much more than recovering an expensive device. Many shared that their phones contained personal memories and important data, and they appreciated the efforts of the police for restoring their belongings.

Another handover ceremony took place at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Shivajinagar, where 193 phones from Zone 1 were returned. The initiative was led by Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner of Police Rishikesh Rawale.

Teams from Khadak, Samarth, Faraskhana, Deccan, Shivajinagar and Vishrambaug police stations worked together to track and recover the devices, some of which were traced from outside Maharashtra.

Senior officers, including Assistant Commissioners Anuja Deshmane, Sainath Thombre, and other police officials, were present at both events. The initiative highlighted Pune Police’s continued efforts to rebuild public trust and ensure that lost property is returned to its owners.
