Pune Railway Divisional Hospital empanelled under PMJAY

PUNE: Divisional Railway Hospital of Pune Railway Division under Central Railway has been empanelled under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). The cardholders can be treated at the hospital. 

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) beneficiary holders get an e-card and can avail service at any of the empanelled hospitals anywhere in the country.

“Six hospitals under the Central Railway are empanelled under PMJAY. The hospitals include Zonal Hospital (Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Byculla, Mumbai; Divisional Railway Hospital, Kalyan; Divisional Railway Hospital, Pune; Divisional Railway Hospital, Solapur; Divisional Railway Hospital, Bhusaval; and Divisional Railway Hospital, Nagpur,” said spokesperson of Pune Railway Division Manoj Kumar Jhawar.

“Any person with PMJAY e-card visiting any of these railway hospitals will get necessary secondary or tertiary care free of cost maximum up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year,” he said.

PMJAY aims at providing a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation to over 10.74 crore poor families. The scheme has been rolled out for the bottom 40 per cent of the poor population. The households included are based on deprivation and occupational criteria of Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 (SECC 2011) for rural and urban areas respectively. It is completely funded by the government and the cost of implementation is shared between Central and State governments.

PMJAY COVERAGE
- 3 days’ pre-hospitalisation and 15 days of post-hospitalisation expenses.
- Around 1,400 procedures with all related costs like OT expenses are taken care of.
- PMJAY extends coverage for over 1,350 medical packages at empanelled public and private hospitals.
- It provides coverage of Rs 5 lakh/ family/ year.
