The notice, which has now gone viral, delivers a satirical jab at former US President Donald Trump, connecting global tensions to the rising cost of everyday essentials. It states: “Due to a recent war started by a dumb orange-haired man, prices of crude oil have increased, resulting in higher prices of LPG and plastic. Hence, new rates will be effective from 21st March. Kindly cooperate or help stop the war.”

The witty phrasing has gained significant traction on social media, with numerous individuals applauding the restaurant's humor while also recognizing the inflation issue. Many users participated in the jest. One said that even local auto drivers had increased fares due to rising fuel prices. Another user admired the owner's humor, and another jested that only someone from Pune could create such a 'Puneri' response.

Rising LPG prices are putting immense pressure on eateries across India, from restaurants and small diners to street vendors. For many, the increase directly drives up cooking costs, adding to the strain already caused by inflation in raw materials, transportation, and packaging.

To cope, businesses are being forced to revise menus or raise prices. Smaller establishments, in particular, are feeling the pinch, as the soaring cost of commercial LPG cylinders makes it nearly impossible to operate without passing some of the expense on to customers.
