Pune shivers as temp drops on New Year

PUNE: The new year 2020 began on a colder note in the city with the temperature plunging to 10.8 degrees Celsius on the first day. 

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is expected to hover between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius till January 6, 2020. 

Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 10.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while the maximum temperature was 28.7 degrees Celsius. 

The minimum temperature recorded in the city on Wednesday was 3.2 degrees Celsius lower than the average temperature as the temperature on Tuesday (December 31) was 14 degrees Celsius.

The lowest minimum temperature of the season till now has been recorded at 10.3 degrees Celsius in Nashik on Wednesday.
