Pune, 23 June 2025: A disturbing incident has come to light in Pune, where a five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a minor boy. The Kondhwa police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. This harrowing event unfolded in a neighborhood where both the minor boy and girl reside.

According to police reports, the boy, who lives nearby, reportedly lured the young girl to a house terrace. He used the pretext of collecting wheat to get her there, where he then allegedly assaulted her. The terrified girl later confided in her family about the incident, which ultimately led to the matter being exposed. Following a complaint lodged by her family, the Kondhwa police promptly registered a case against the minor boy.

In a separate and equally concerning incident in Shivane, a man was seriously injured after being stabbed by an auto-rickshaw driver. The altercation stemmed from a dispute over parking and occurred in the parking area of a residential society.

The victim has been identified as Sandeep Sambhaji Desai (32, Sadguru Residency, Shivane). The Uttamnagar police have registered a case against the auto-rickshaw driver, Somnath Hanumant Pawar (33, Sadguru Residency, Shivane), based on Desai's complaint.

Police investigations reveal that on Saturday night, around 11:30 PM, Desai was leaving on his two-wheeler with two friends. An auto-rickshaw was parked obstructing the road in the society's parking lot.

When Desai asked the driver to move the rickshaw, Pawar, in a fit of rage, allegedly stabbed Desai in the stomach with a sharp weapon, causing serious injury. Furthermore, when Desai's friends attempted to intervene, the driver reportedly verbally abused them.
