Competing against some of Asia’s finest skaters, Shreyasi delivered a confident and composed performance that won over the judges and brought pride to the nation. Her exceptional skill and dedication stood out in a field of tough competitors, earning widespread acclaim back home. The victory has sparked celebrations across India, especially in Pune, where locals are hailing it as a moment of great pride.

Shreyasi’s journey in skating began at the age of three, alongside her sister Swarali, who is also an accomplished skater with over nine national titles. Both sisters won their first national medals at the age of six and have since represented India on international platforms.

In an earlier interview, Shreyasi shared how her love for skating began: her parents had taken her to a nearby ground, where she saw children skating and immediately expressed her desire to learn the sport. That spark of interest turned into a passion, fuel by years of dedication and hard work.

Her recent gold medal is not just a personal triumph, but a milestone for Indian roller sports, serving as an inspiration for young athletes across the country.
