Pune remains at the centre of this effort, with the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) conducting the selection process. The institute ensured that only the most deserving and capable students were chosen for the international visit.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar said the program is a major step forward for rural education. He noted that the students will interact with scientists and observe research work as it happens, which will help build their confidence and broaden their understanding of space science.

The students’ journey marks an important moment for rural Maharashtra, opening a global window of possibilities for young minds interested in science and technology.
