A sanitation worker first noticed a sack lying in an open plot and informed the police after spotting material that appeared similar to gelatin sticks and wires typically used in explosives.

Police teams reached the site immediately and cordoned off the area to ensure public safety. The discovery caused brief panic among locals, who feared the presence of explosive material.

During the investigation, police detained two labourers who were allegedly in possession of the gelatin sticks. A case has been registered at the Vishrantwadi Police Station for illegally storing explosive-grade material.

According to initial findings, the gelatin was meant for rock-breaking work at a construction site. However, officials have stated that they are also checking other possibilities to rule out any misuse.
