Pune, 25th May 2026: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune is likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and light rainfall on Monday. The expected spell of rain is likely to provide relief to residents struggling with rising humidity and uncomfortable weather conditions over the past few days.
The city recorded a drop of around two degrees Celsius in maximum temperature on Sunday. However, the minimum temperature increased by nearly three degrees Celsius, leading to humid conditions across Pune.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 25.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the weather department, Pune and nearby areas are expected to see a slight increase in both day and night temperatures on Monday. The maximum temperature is likely to touch 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 25 degrees Celsius.
The sky is expected to remain mostly clear during the morning hours before turning cloudy by afternoon and evening. The IMD has predicted light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in parts of the city later in the day.
Officials have also indicated that maximum temperatures may gradually rise again from Tuesday onward.
