Pune, 3rd October 2025: Pune has at last experienced a break from the continuous rainfall that had soaked the city in recent days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that dry weather will persist for at least the next three days, providing residents with a much-needed reprieve.

On Sunday (Nov 2), the city experienced cloudy skies in the morning followed by bright sunshine in the afternoon. The maximum temperature rose to 30°C, up by two degrees from Saturday’s 28°C, while the minimum temperature settled around 21.8°C.

IMD has forecast that the weather will remain mostly clear in Pune and its surrounding areas on Monday (Nov 3). Some light cloud cover may appear in the afternoon or evening, with maximum temperatures around 30°C and minimum around 21°C. A slight dip in temperature to 29°C is expected on Tuesday (Nov 4).

Across Maharashtra, temperatures are also on the rise. IMD data indicates that minimum temperatures in the state will remain 1–2°C above the seasonal average, hovering near 17°C instead of the usual 15°C. Maximum temperatures could reach up to 34°C in some areas, making days feel warmer than typical for November.

Senior meteorologist Krishnanand Hosalikar noted that most regions in Maharashtra will see warmer nights this month, along with occasional unseasonal rainfall. He said the state is likely to experience a mix of mild heat and brief showers throughout November.
