The initiative is aimed at resolving delays and objections in police verification cases and providing immediate assistance to affected applicants. Senior officers from both the passport office and the police department will be present to directly hear complaints and offer solutions.

The Open House will be held on March 4, 2026 (Wednesday), between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Regional Passport Office, Passport Bhavan, Baner–Pashan Link Road, Baner, Pune.

Officials said, “The Open House is being organised to provide on-the-spot grievance redressal for passport applicants facing issues in their Police Verification Reports. Senior officers from RPO Pune and Pune Police will be present to hear and resolve concerns directly.”

The session will be conducted on a walk-in basis, and no prior appointment is required. However, applicants have been advised to report by 2:00 PM for registration. Those attending should carry their objection letters, if any, along with all relevant supporting documents to ensure quicker resolution.

Authorities believe the initiative will help clear pending verification cases, speed up passport processing, and improve coordination between the passport office and the police department.
