Pune: The 67th edition of Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, an Indian classical music festival, will be organised by Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal from December 11 to 15 in the memory of late Bhimsen Joshi, a renowned classical singer and Bharat Ratna.

“The five-day-long festival will be held at the Maharashtriya Mandal Krida Sankul in Mukund Nagar,” said Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal Executive President Shrinivas Joshi.

While the Festival was traditionally held at the Deccan Education Society’s (DES) New English School ground in Ramanbaug for several years, last year, the venue was changed to Mukund Nagar after the DES issued a notice stating that it will not allow any concert to be organised on the school playground.
