Pune, 25 February 2026: Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar was discharged from a Pune hospital on Wednesday morning after receiving treatment for dehydration.
The 85-year-old Rajya Sabha member had been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic on Sunday following complaints of dehydration.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that his condition is stable and he is recovering well. Dr. Purvez Grant, Chief Cardiologist, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the hospital, said, “He is doing well and has recovered. He has been discharged this morning and has left for Mumbai. He has been advised to take rest for the next few days before resuming his normal routine.”
In an official update, the hospital stated that Sharad Pawar is in good health and has responded positively to treatment. The hospital also conveyed its best wishes for his continued well-being.
Earlier this month, the veteran leader and former Union minister had been admitted to the same hospital on February 9 due to a chest infection. He was discharged on February 14 after completing treatment.
