TEDx events are created with the mission of ‘ideas worth spreading’. St Mira’s College held this talk on the theme of ‘The Elephant in the room’. Bindumadhav Khire, gay activist, Justine Rayne Nash, life coach, Onkar Khullar also known as Digital Gandhi, Dr Ravi Abhyankar, mental health professional, Alekh Sangal, TV actor and producer, Anshul Bafna, business psychologist and Pushkar Bendre, stand-up comedian, were the speakers who talked about different points based on the theme of the event.

Talking about how social media has made everybody puppets, actor Sangal said, “Social media was supposed to free us, rather it has enslaved us. It was supposed to be a platform for sharing and reaching out to people, instead it has become a platform of pressure.”

The event was hosted and organised by the BBA department under the guidance of Prof Abhradita Chatterjee Nahvi. “Our students did a great job. We got some really good and eminent speakers on board. It was a successful event,” said Nahvi.
