Student killed in an accident in Hinjawadi

Pune: A 22-year-old student died due to severe head injuries after his speeding bike hit a road divider. The incident took place on Tuesday morning in the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park Phase 3, in Hinjawadi. 

The deceased has been identified as Aman Pandey, a native of Patna, Bihar. He was in second year BBA at Indira College in the city.  According to Hinjawadi police, the accident took place around 10 am. Pandey was returning after dropping a friend for an interview at an IT company. 

Senior PI Yashwant Gawari, in-charge of Hinjawadi police station, said, “Pandey was not wearing a helmet. He lost control over the speeding vehicle and hit the road divider. Such was the impact that he was thrown on the other side of the road and was run over by a car.”
