Tulshibaug to stay shut for few days

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: Tulshibaug, one of the most popular street shopping destinations for Puneites, will remain closed for the next couple of days.

The decision was taken by Vishrambaug police after an elaborate meeting with the traders in Tulshibaug to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the city. There are 250-300 shops in Tulshibaug and 400 street vendors. Nearly 1 lakh customers visit Tulshibaug every day.

Police, considering the crowd that Tulshibaug attracts every day, had appealed to the traders to keep their shops closed, which the traders decided to implement.
