Two killed in road accident in Hinjawadi

Pune: In a hit-and-run case two youths on a motorcycle died in the jurisdiction of Hinjawadi police station on Monday morning. The youths were on their way to office, but their bike was hit by a tempo in Wakad. The tempo driver sped away after the accident.

The deceased were identified as Mangesh Kanse (25), a native of Satara and Sambhaji Garale, a native of Sangli. The deceased were employed with a company located in Pirangut.

According to Hinjawadi police, the youths were heading to their office in Pirangut from  Wakad via Hinjewadi-Pirangut Road. The tempo driver was coming from Hinjewadi Phase 3. He was driving recklessly and lost control over the vehicle. The tempo hit the motorcycle and sped away from the spot.
