In winter, city records 31.4 degrees Celsius

PUNE: Monday started on a hot note as the maximum temperature was reported at 31.4 degrees Celsius in the city. There was also an increase in the minimum temperature which was recorded at 13.8 degrees Celsius on Monday. 

As per predictions by the IMD, partly cloudy sky and haze in the morning hours will be experienced in the city between January 21 to January 23.

The day and night temperatures are also expected to increase during this time. 

The lowest minimum temperature across the State was reported at 11.4 degrees Celsius at Jalgaon. The weather across Maharashtra and Goa is expected to remain dry till January 24. 

Across India, the lowest minimum temperature recorded was 2 degrees Celsius at Sikar in east Rajasthan. 

As per predictions by the Met department, dense fog is very likely in isolated parts over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on January 21 and January 22. 

During the same time, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh.
