Woman dies after manjha accident

PUNE: A 26-year-old woman died after her throat was slit due to kite string (manja) on Sunday evening near Nashik Phata. 

The woman, identified as Krupali Nikam, was a resident of Pimple Saudagar. 

As per information given by the Bhosari police, at around 6.45 pm, Krupali was on her way towards Bhosari on her two-wheeler Activa. The incident took place after she crossed Nashik Phata. Police said that Krupali’s throat was slit due to the string and she died before she was taken to a private hospital. 

The doctors declared her dead before arrival. Police said that Krupali was a doctor by profession. Police Inspector A Bhosale of Bhosari police station is investigating the case.
