Pune: Zeal Education Society’s Zeal Entrepreneurship Development Cell, in association with the Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED Pune), celebrated World Entrepreneurs Day on August 21 at Zeal Campus, Narhe.
This is the first internationally recognised day for the celebration of entrepreneurs and innovators.
It is the perfect day to celebrate the people who start a business alone.
The event was inaugurated by Amol Chaphekar (Managing Director, Strata Enviro Pvt Ltd), SM Katkar (Founder Director, Zeal Education Society, Zeal Industries and Zeal Enterprises, Pune), Sunanda Varma (The Daftar, Marketing, brand creation and brand management), Vikrant Vartak (Managing Director, The Senate Business Center), Upendra Rai (Director, Millionminds), Parag Kulkarni (Founder, Chief Scientist and CEO, iknowlation Research Labs Pvt Ltd), Jayesh Katkar (Executive Director, ZES), and Sanjay Deokar (Campus Director, ZES). Zeal alumni also participated in the celebrations.
Kulkarni addressed the audience with his experience, where he covered the real life difficulties and challenges faced while starting his own business. Suresh Umap (Regional Manager, MCED Pune) shared his experience with the documentation and legal formalities required to start up a new venture to provide guidance in future endeavours.
Prof Namdeorav Jadhav spoke about Entrepreneurial Qualities of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and he motivated young budding entrepreneurs of Zeal with various examples of Maratha history.
More than 500 students and budding entrepreneurs of Zeal Education Society from MBA, MCA, Engineering, and Polytechnic participated in the event.
Rajesh Pawar (Mikro Innotech Indian Pvt Ltd), Vishal Adsool (Founder, CEO at Equations Work), Sandip Shinde (Chairman and MD Sai-Lee Electrotekniks Pvt Ltd) shared their views on entrepreneurship and business opportunities in India. Zeal Entrepreneurship cell supports their alumni entrepreneurs, therefore, Professor Jayesh Katkar announced Seed Capital Scheme of Rs one lakh per year by Zeal ED cell for all budding entrepreneurs of Zeal. Every year, this amount will increase by one lakh.
