16th seed Rutuja to face 3rd ranked Gargi in final

Pune: Maharashtra players, Rutuja Chaphalkar upset top-seeded Prerna Vichare to set up a title clash with Gargi Pawar in the girls in the Ravine Hotel National Series Under 16 Tennis Tournament at Ravine Hotel tennis courts in Panchgani on Friday.

In the girls singles, semifinals sixteenth seeded Rutuja Chaphalkar upset Statemate and top-seeded Prerna Vichare 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Third-seeded, Gargi Pawar overcame Vaishnavi Adkar 6-1, 6-3 to ensure a place in final.

Chaphalkar also made it to the doubles finals, partnering Saniya Masand duo made it to the doubles finals scraping past Renne Singla and Renne Singh 6-3, 6-2.

In the other semifinal, Prerana Vichare and Hrudaya Shah registered a 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 10-5 win over Sanjana Sirimalla and Rai Washimkar to make it to the finals.

In the boys singles semifinals, Krishan Hooda made it to the finals stopping giant killer fourth-seeded Arnav Pathange 6-1, 7-6 (9-7), in the finals.

Girls: 16-Rutuja Chaphalkar bt 1-Prerna Vichare 2-6, 6-2, 6-2; 3-Gargi Pawar bt Vaishnavi Adkar 6-1, 6-3.
Doubles: 1-Prerana Vichare and Hrudaya Shah bt 3-Sanjana Sirimalla and Rai Washimkar 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 10-5; 4-Rutuja Chaphalkar and Saniya Masand bt Renne Singla and Renne Singh 6-3, 6-2.
