Aditya, Vinaya top field in Runathon of Hope

Pune: Aditya R and Vinaya Malusare emerged winners in the men and women half marathon sections respectively in the 9th Syska Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune ‘Runathon of Hope 2019 recently.

In the blue riband above 45 years category, Aditya clocked 1 hour 17 minutes 28 seconds to complete the 21.0975 kilometre run a full two minutes ahead of second placed Tanaji Nalavade (1:19:46). Laxman Dhaikar (1:23:42) finished third.

In the women section, Vinaya Malusare (1:25:41) made it a one-horse race finishing over 28 minutes ahead of Nayan Kidak who stopped the clock at 1:54:14 followed by Reshma Kevate.

In the above 45 years category, Pradip Ray with a time of 1 hour 28 minute, 47 seconds emerged in top in the men’s section and Anjali Bhalinge (01:48:11) topped in the women’s section.
Around 7000 participants competed in the various runs during the day in the men, women, boys’ and girls’ sections respectively and included the Run for Hope. The day’s schedule also includes a 5-km run for corporates and a 2-km run for charity.

21km: 1. Adithya R 1 hr 17 min 28 secs; 2. Tanaji Nalvade 01:19:46; 3. Laxman Dhaikar 01:23:42.
Hope Run (10km): 1. Paraji Gaikwad 33 min 02 sec; 2. Dinkar Lilake 33:37; 3. Balaji Mane 38:25.
Women (Under-45): 1. Vinaya Malusare 01:25:41; 2. Reshma Kevate 01:32:21; 3. Swati Agarwal & Nayan Kirdak 01:54:14.
10km: 1. Swati Basu-Vhanwade 39:39; 2. Vaishnavi Sawant 40:14; 3. Priyanka Chavarkar 41:23. 
Men (Plus-45):
21km: 1. Pradip Ray 1:28:47; 2. Deepak 01:33:44; 3. Geo Thomas 01:41:27.
10km: 1. Vishwas Chougule 39:31; 2. Shyamapada Das 40:36; 3. Ramesh Chivilkar 40:49.
Women (Plus-45):
21km: 1. Anjali Bhalinge 01:48:11; 2. Leelamma Alphonso 01:54:57; 3. Durga Sil 01:59:22.

10km: 1. Bula Mondal 59:21; 2. Usha Patil 01:11:42; 3. Akanksha Jaggi 01:16:20.
Hope Run 5km:
Men Open: 1. Rohan Jadhav 18:41; 2. Prakash Mavaskar 19:18; 3. Jaswinder Singh 19:23.
Women Open: 1. Vrushali Uttekar 20:28; 2. Akanksha Gaikwad 21:15; 3. Kusuma Mavaskar 22.08.
Boys Under-16 (3km): 1. Omkar Panhalkar; 2. Tohid Kurane; 3. Ajit Tokhre; 4. Vinod Padwal; 5. Siddhesh Choudhary.
Girls Under-16 (3km): 1. Sheetal Bhagat; 2. Nikita Bongarde; 3. Nikita Hazare; 4. Sakshi Kurange; 5. Vidhignya Kamble.
Boys Under-14 (2km): 1. Akash Tipre; 2. Keshav Mane; 3. Sairaj Kopale; 4. Karan Boye; 5. Ashish Badu.
Girls Under-14 (2km): 1. Nikita Koli; 2. Vedshree Lohari; 3. Kimaya Khedekar; 4. Tanisha Bhand; 5. Aishwarya Hinge.
