Divine Stars emerge victorious

Pune: Divine Stars emerged champions at the Excel T-20 Women’s Corporate Premier League 2018 Cricket Tournament which concluded at Deccan Gymkhana cricket ground on Saturday.

In the finals, Divine Stars registered a 9 wicket win over Shelar Group.

Batting first, Shelar Group put on 109 runs for loss of  8 wickets in their  20 overs. Bharti Fulmali’s  unbeaten 62 runs and an 100 run second wicket  partnership with Aditi Gaikwad who scored 44 runs helped Divine Stars to put on 111 runs for loss of a solitary wicket in 18.2 overs and claim the first ever womens championship and top prize of Rs 31,000 and a trophy .

Results: Final: 
Shelar Group 109 for 8 in 20 Overs (Soniya Dabir 32, Komal Zanzad 14, Vaishnavi Kale 16, Nikita Bhor 2-11, Priya Singh 2-19, Shravani Kadam 2-28) lost to Divine Stars 111 for 1 in 18.2 Overs (Bharti Fulmali 62*, Aditi Gaikwad 44*, Shwetal Khatal 1-22).
3rd and 4th place: Meta School 98 for 3 in 15 Overs (Poonam Khemnar 40, Sonali Shinde 25, Rohini More 14, Utkarsha Deshpande 1-15, Shradha Pakharkar 1-20) lost to Regreen 101 for 3 in 11.4 Overs (Kiran Navgire 52, Tejal Hasbnis 27, Bhakti Shastri 12, Poonam Khemnar 2-20, Sonali Shinde 1-19).
Other Prizes:
Best Batsman: Kiran Navgire (170 runs).
Best Bowler: Nikita Bhor (10 wickets).
Player of the tournament: Soniya Dabir (235 runs and 2 wickets).
Emerging Player: Aditi Joshi.
Best Wicket keeper: Charmy Gawai
Best Fielder: Aditi Gaikwad.
