The Schumacher returns! The surname which made numerous records is all set to return to Formula 1 in New Year, after Haas signed Mick Schumacher - son of seven-time world champion and F1 legend Michael Schumacher on a multi-year deal.

The 21-year-old currently leads the Formula 2 title race by 14 points with one round remaining, in what is his second season in the series, winning two time among 10 podiums. The Ferrari junior will connect with F2 racer Nikita Mazepin in an all-new line-up for the American suit, with the pair replacing Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.

The son of the legend will be the third member of the Schumacher family to race in F1. His Uncle Ralf - Michael's brother started 180 races between 1997 and 2007, winning six of them.

Official website of Formula One quoted Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner as saying, “I’m very pleased that we’re able to confirm Mick Schumacher in our driver line-up for next season and I look forward to welcoming him into the team,” said Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner.
