Football legend Diego Maradona passes away at 60

According to various reports, Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest, in Argentina.

The football legend had a heart attack just two weeks after leaving hospital where he underwent surgery on a blot clot in his brain.

Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, he helped Argentina lift the football World Cup in 1986, the pinnacle of an illustrious career. He celebrated his 60th birthday on October 30.

The Argentine legend played for various football clubs such as Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona among others.

He was responsible for the infamous 'Hand of God' that eliminated mighty England from the 1986 tournament. His career was also tinged with controversy because of drug and alcohol addiction.
