The Indian women's hockey team is set to begin its Super 4 stage campaign in the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 in Hangzhou with a match against Korea. The team, which topped Pool B, enters the stage with a strong momentum, having remained undefeated so far in the tournament. India's recent form includes an 11-0 thrashing of Thailand, a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Japan, and a commanding 12-0 victory over Singapore.

Forwards Navneet Kaur and Mumtaz Khan have been the standout performers for India, each scoring five goals in the pool stage. Their consistent goal-scoring abilities will be key as the team battles to secure a spot in the final. The duo, along with other attacking players, has been described as "uncontrollable" in their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

The Super 4 stage will see India, China, Japan, and South Korea compete against each other once. The top two teams from this round-robin format will advance to the final, while the remaining two sides will play for the third-place match. India's coach, Harendra Singh, acknowledged that the Super 4s will present a different challenge with little room for error. "Consistency and composure will be key," he said.

India holds a psychological edge over Korea, having won three of their last five meetings, with one draw and one loss. Coach Harendra Singh is confident in his team's ability to perform under pressure. "The players are motivated, they understand the responsibility of wearing the Indian jersey, and they are eager to continue the momentum," he stated. "If we play to our potential and trust our process, I am confident we can achieve the results we are aiming for."

The team's focus, according to the coach, will be on maintaining their structure, defensive sharpness, and converting chances. With a place in the Asia Cup final and a potential berth for the 2026 Women’s World Cup on the line, the Indian team will look to carry their unbeaten run into this decisive stage of the tournament. The match against Korea is the first step in this crucial journey.
