IPL 2021: After seven years, Cheteshwar Pujara makes comeback in T20 league

Yes! After reading the headline, many cricket fans may be surprised but its true. India's star Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is purchased by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for his base price of Rs 50 lakh in the IPL auction 2021 on Thursday.

The right-handed batsman played last in the IPL 2014. India's Mr Dependable in Test has overall played 30 matches in the tournament and has scored 390 runs at a strike rate of 99.74 with one half-century on his name.

Often considered as slow batsman for explosive T20 format Pujara managed to sign the for CSK as southern India club has kept faith on him. As soon as he was picked by the CSK, the auction room gave an applause to the senior experienced cricketer who performed amazingly in Australia tour.
