Kartik Krishnaraj wins Pune Festival Cup golf trophy

Pune: Kartik Krishnaraj won the Pune Festival Cup golf rolling trophy after emerging winner in the Platinum Division with 39 points in the competition conducted under stableford format at the Poona Club Golf course here on Saturday.

Ten-handicapper Krishnaraj played 18 holes with a gross score of 78 that earned him enough cushion to to beat Sharad Datta, who finished runner-up.

Mahesh Shahane and Suresh Prasad were tied on 40 points in the gold division after both posted 67 gross over 18 holes. The tie was broken on better back-nine scoring; and Pratyush Dalal won Silver Division trophy.

Platinum Div (Handicap 0-12): 1. Kartik Krishnaraj 39 pts; 2. Sharad Datta 36.
Gold Div (13-24): 1. Mahesh Shahane 40 pts; 2. Suresh Prasad 40.
Silver Div (25-36): 1. Pratyush Dalal 36; 2. BD Deshpande 34.
Individual awards:
Closest to the Pin (#Hole No 4): Suresh Prasad (3ft 6 inch)
Straightest drive (#Hole No 3): Chetan Rigzen (3.5 inch)
Longest Drive (#Hole No 18): Ananya Garg (298 yard 2 feet)
