Nicholas Pooran delivered a breathtaking performance, scoring 70 runs off just 26 balls, including six sixes and six fours. His innings featured the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, reached in just 18 balls. Mitchell Marsh supported him with a solid 52 runs off 31 balls, contributing to a remarkable partnership that saw LSG chase down the target with ease.

On the bowling front, Shardul Thakur was instrumental in restricting SRH to a total of 190 runs, claiming four wickets for just 34 runs. His early breakthroughs included dismissing Abhishek Sharma and last match's centurion Ishan Kishan in consecutive deliveries, setting the tone for LSG's bowling attack. Despite the loss, SRH had a promising start with Travis Head scoring 47 off 28 balls. However, Thakur's incisive bowling and effective fielding from LSG curtailed their scoring momentum.

Captain Rishabh Pant, who took charge of an injury-struck side, emphasized the importance of focusing on controllable aspects of the game. After the match, he quoted lessons from his mentor MS Dhoni, reflecting on how to lead under pressure. Pant stated, "We came into this match needing to prove ourselves after our first loss. The team executed our plans perfectly."

Nicholas Pooran expressed his joy over the explosive innings, stating, "I just went out there to play my natural game. The pitch was good for batting, and I capitalized on the loose deliveries." Shardul Thakur also shared his thoughts on being picked by LSG after going unsold in the auction, highlighting his determination to make an impact.

With this victory, LSG has silenced critics who doubted their potential after a rough start to the season. The win not only boosts their confidence but also sets a positive tone for their upcoming matches.
