Players Cup TT from July 27

Pune: The 18th edition of the Players Cup Table Tennis Tournament will be held at Deccan Gymkhana here from July 27 to August 1. The Poona District Table Tennis Association (PDTTA) is organising the event, which will be the third District Ranking table tennis tournament of the year.

The tournament will be played in the singles and doubles categories with players like Sanat Bokil, Devyani Kulkarni, Radhika Sakpal, Martand Biniwale and others will be seen in action over six days. A total of 563 entries have been received for this tournament, informed Ashlesha Bodas, Organising Secretary of the tournament.

In its 18th year, this tournament is a tribute to ex-PDTTA players who come together and pool in their resources to make this event a success. “Former players who have settled abroad too contribute towards Players’ Cup for all these years,” PDTTA Secretary Shriram Konkar, informed.
