Pune skaters impress

PUNE: Six skaters from Pune finished with an impressive performance winning medals during the 15th edition of the National Ice Skating Championship which was organised by the Ice Skating Association of India at Gurgaon from November 17 to 18.

Two skaters from Mumbai who were also part of the team contributed to the medal tally. 

Maharashtra won 11 medals in all in the event which witnessed participation of around 170 skaters from different states. 

The event was conducted for 300 metre and 500 metre races respectively in categories which included Under-10 years, 10-13 years and 13-15 years boys and girls.

MEDAL WINNERS:
1. Ojas Kulkarni: 2 Gold Medals.
2. Aayush Bahirgonde: 1 Bronze Medal.
3. Swaroopa Kad Deshmukh:  1 Bronze Medal.
4. Pearl Mehta: 1 Bronze Medal.
5. Priyanshu Slave: 1 Gold, 1 Silver Medal.
6. Ayush Arora: 1 Silver Medal.
7. Sanjana Paturi: 2 Silver Medals.
8. Tanya Mehta: 1 Bronze Medal.
