Pune women shine in triple jump event

Pune: It turned out to be an all Pune podium in triple jump as Paurnima Marne, Amruta Pathak and Madhuri Ubhe clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively on Day 2 of the Maharashtra State Track and Field Championship at the Balewadi warm up ground here on Saturday.
Paurnima completed the jump of 10.54 metres to capture the gold.

Amongst the men, Jai Shah and Anil Sadu clinched gold and silver for Mumbai Suburbs while the bronze went to Avinash Patil of Aurangabad.
In the 200 metres race, Chaitrali Gujar from Satara grabbed a gold medal.

Women: 100m hurdles: 1. Ankita Gosavi, 2. Pravina Kothari, 3. Sayali Satpute.
1500 metre: 1. Jayshree Borgi (Mumbai), 2. Rishu Singh, 3. Priyanka Kavalkar.
4x400m relay: 1. Mumbai (4.10s), 2. Pune, 3. Dhule.
Triple Jump: 1. Paurnima Marne (10.54m), 2. Amruta Pathak, 3. Madhuri Ubhe.
Javelin throw: 1. Geeta Shinde (39.33m), 2. Dhanshree Dhadi, 3. Kalyani.
Men: 1500m: 1. Chandrakant Manwadkar (4:3s), 2. Yogesh Bonal, 3. Amol Sankalpal.
110m hurdles: 1. Paras Patil (14.7s), 2. Pranit Chate, 3. Amrut Shiwle.
Triple Jump: 1. Jai Shah (15.7m), 2. Anil Sadu, 3. Avinash Patil .
Javelin Throw: 1. Vijay Yadav (67.32m), 2. Uttam Patil, 3. Gautam.
