PYC Gymkhana felicitates Asian Games players

Pune: City tennis players, Ankita Raina, Rutuja Bhosale  and basketball player Shireen Limaye were felicitated by PYC Gymkhana Sports Club on Wednesday.

Ankita came out with shining colours winning the bronze medal in tennis. Rutuja partnered Pranjala Yadlapalli to make women’s doubles team which lost in the second round against Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Peangtarn Plipuech from Thailand 6-3, 4-6, 9-11.

Shireen was a part of the women’s basketball team which finished on fifth place.
Along with players, Hemant Bendrey the coach of Ankita and Rutuja and Suvarna Limaye coach of Shireen Limaye and technical official Avanee Gosavi were also felicitated during   the event.

The club also presented Ankita with a honrary membership of PYC Hindu Gymkhana. Ankita joins other illustrious Indian players Gagan Narang, Pullela Gopichand, Saina Nehwal and Pankaj Advani.
