Sportswomen celebrate womanhood as Aspen Watches launch ‘Jewels’

Pune: Women sporting jewels from as diverse disciplines as chess to cycling celebrated womanhood in a unique way when Aspen Watches brought them together to launch its new collection ‘Jewels’ on Wednesday.

Commonwealth Games gold medalist paddler Pooja Sahasrabuddhe, top archer Bhagyashree Kolte, international cyclist Rutuja Satpute, Maharashtra No 1 table tennis player Pritha Vartikar and Woman Grandmaster Mrunalini Kunte made up the august gathering at the Just Watches store in Westend Mall, Aundh, as Aspen Watches put together a novel way to celebrate the International Women’s Day.

The quartet were felicitated by Manoj Subramanian, Head of Just Watches and were gifted with the Aspen Watches, a brand solely dedicated to women.

“It is our honor that we could felicitate the women who have made us proud on the global front. Sports field similar to watch category is dominated by males and yet these women have made an important place,” said Manoj Subramanian.

The new range, ‘Jewels’ are unique in design and are perfect amalgamation of watches and jewellery adorned with different chains outsourced from Italy, Russia, China and other countries.
