Launched on April 28, 2026, the feature is powered by what Amazon describes as “AI-powered shopping experts” that generate real-time, conversational audio responses. Instead of manually scanning lengthy product descriptions, specifications, or customer reviews, users can simply ask specific questions, such as whether a product is suitable for beginners or how comfortable it feels and receive immediate, spoken explanations.

This new Q&A feature is part of Amazon’s broader “Hear the highlights” experience, which already provides brief audio summaries for certain products in the Amazon app in the United States. With this system, shoppers can either listen to a short product overview or switch to a more interactive option by starting a chat via text or voice to learn more details.

The feature is also designed to work in conjunction with Amazon’s expanding suite of AI shopping tools, including Rufus for in-depth product research, Interests for tracking personalized recommendations, and “Help Me Decide,” which suggests products based on a user’s browsing and shopping behavior.

Collectively, these tools are intended to streamline decision-making and create a more responsive, personalized, and interactive shopping experience.
