Transferring photos from iPhone to Android used to be a hassle—slow, messy, and full of workarounds. But not anymore. iOS 26.3 made it effortless with a built-in Transfer to Android tool that wirelessly moves photos, messages, apps, passwords, and contacts in minutes. Apple rolled out the update on February 11, 2026, enabling seamless migration to nearby Android devices.

The tool is found in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone. It works using proximity detection, QR codes, or pairing codes. It’s a rare Apple–Google collaboration that makes leaving the iPhone ecosystem surprisingly smooth. The update arrives about two months after iOS 26.2 and is the third point release in the iOS 26 series. You can install it through Settings > General > Software Update if your device supports it. The process is the same as before: download over Wi-Fi, restart when prompted, and the update will install.

Apple iOS 26.3 Features

Apple is simplifying the process for users to move their data from iPhones to Android devices with the release of iOS 26.3. Users can initiate the transfer by simply placing their iPhone close to an Android phone. This feature enables the transfer of messages, apps, photos, contacts, notes, passwords, and more without requiring an additional app.

Weather Wallpapers & Location Restriction

Weather wallpapers have been added under the astronomy section, allowing users to display dynamic backgrounds that reflect real-time weather conditions for a more aesthetic look. Additionally, Apple now lets users share approximate location data instead of precise location, giving more privacy control. To reduce location accuracy, go to Settings > Cellular > Mobile Data Options. This feature is available on iPhones with Apple-designed cellular modems.

Eligible Devices

Apple's iOS 26.3 will be accessible on all devices that qualify for this update, including the iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 series. However, it's important for users to note that the Apple Intelligence features will only be available on the iPhone 15 series and newer models.

Persisting Issues

Despite the stability focus, several Continuity features still have issues, including iPhone Mirroring, AirPlay to Apple TV 4K, Wireless Continuity Camera, and Sidecar on iPad Pro M5 models. Early tests show better keyboard responsiveness and RAM management, but CarPlay bugs remain. iOS 26.4 beta testing starts late February 2026, with Siri upgrades powered by Google Gemini. Until then, iOS 26.3 is Apple’s biggest sign yet that leaving the ecosystem can be easier.
