Ahead of International Women’s Day, a lot of WhatsApp users have received a forwarded message that claims that German sportswear Adidas is giving out free shoes. The message has been doing rounds for quite sometimes and if you have also received this message, we suggest you to ignore it because this is just another online scam.

Forward message that claims that German sportswear Adidas is giving out free shoes.

Along with the free offer, the message is also carrying a URL - https://v-app.buzz/adidass/tb.php?_t=1614862650. We suggest users not to click on this link as it can lead them to trouble! Adidas is not running any such campaign and there are no mentions of such offers on Adidas’s official website or social media handles.

This is not the first time people are receiving such fake messages on WhatsApp. The messaging app is prone to such fake claims and millions of users around the globe have been tricked into it. The same thing happened in the past when similar messages were doing the rounds on WhatsApp.

If you come across any such claims on WhatsApp, which are suspicious, do not click on the link. Always check the language of the message and the URL of the link properly.
