Now, Google may soon roll out a similar feature in Gemini, allowing users to transfer their preferences and context from ChatGPT. According to Android Authority, the latest version of the Google app appears to offer a two-part system for importing either memory or chat history.
With the “Import memory to Gemini” feature, users can transfer information from services like ChatGPT, while the “Add memory” option lets Gemini remember details directly.
How it works:
Select the “Import memory to Gemini” option.
Copy the prompt provided by Gemini and paste it into another AI service, such as ChatGPT.
ChatGPT generates a response containing all the information it has about you.
Copy this response and paste it into Gemini’s “Paste the response here” box.
Alternatively, tap the “Add memory” button to let Gemini directly retain information about you.

Google is said to be developing a feature that enables users to transfer all their conversations with AI chatbots to Gemini. This process requires downloading the chats from other chatbots and then uploading them as a zip file to Gemini. Currently, it is uncertain when this feature will be accessible to all users, but given that it's Google, the timeline could range from a few days to several months.
