In yet another business venture of Elon Musk, xAI launched two new subscription tiers on Wednesday, December 31, allowing small businesses and larger organizations to tap into its Grok AI models for workplace tasks.
According to a blog post by the AI startup, Grok Business and Grok Enterprise will offer customers the highest rate limits on the most sophisticated AI models created by xAI through a unified platform. Grok Business is designed for small-to-medium teams, whereas larger organizations can opt for Grok Enterprise, which includes extra features like Custom Single Sign-On (SSO), Directory Sync (SCIM), advanced audit and security controls, among others.
This move represents the latest attempt by the billionaire-backed AI startup to rival companies like Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic in the rapidly expanding market for workplace AI tools. The company's two AI enterprise solutions have been accessible to all users since December 31.
xAI highlighted that proprietary business data handled by its AI models will not be utilized to train other AI models.
The enterprise AI market is crowded, but adoption remains slow, with many companies struggling to move past pilot programs. xAI's launch of Grok Business and Grok Enterprise comes as studies show large companies still face challenges scaling AI beyond initial tests.
Grok Business and Grok Enterprise are subscription tiers introduced by xAI, offering businesses AI-powered tools designed to streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and ensure data privacy. Grok Business allows users to integrate data from company tools like Google Drive, sharing AI-generated insights with designated teammates. Grok Enterprise builds on these capabilities, offering additional features tailored for larger organizations with enhanced security and customization options.
