Imperial College London to Establish ‘Imperial Global India’ Hub in India

Imperial College London's new research hub, Imperial Global India, set to launch in Bengaluru in May 2025, enhancing UK-India ties in science and innovation.

Imperial College London is set to launch its newest international research hub, Imperial Global India, in Bengaluru in May 2025. This initiative aims to deepen scientific, educational, and innovation partnerships between India and the UK, fostering collaborative research and addressing shared global challenges.

The hub will serve as a liaison office, facilitating co-created research partnerships between Imperial College and India's leading academic and research institutions. It will focus on emerging technologies such as telecommunications, AI, quantum, biotechnology, and critical minerals.

Imperial Global India will act as a communication channel to strengthen ties with industry and policymakers, enhancing collaboration in innovation between India and the UK.This includes developing joint projects aligned with the UK-India Technology Security Initiative.

The hub will officially launch on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, with a special event in Bengaluru, convening leaders from academia, business, industry, and policy.The event will explore future collaborations in science and innovation.
