Downdetector indicated a sudden increase in reports starting at 10:20 AM IST, hinting at a potential service interruption. The majority of grievances were about the app malfunctioning, while a few users mentioned errors on the website version. According to the site, approximately 51 percent of users experienced app issues, 19 percent reported website malfunctions, and 16 percent had problems with the feed or timeline not updating.
Numerous individuals reported on various social media platforms that they were unable to log into their accounts or view posts. As of now, Meta, the parent company, has not released an official statement regarding the problem. It remains uncertain whether the outage is impacting users worldwide or just in specific areas.

Over 2,300 outage reports have been logged so far, peaking at 3,500 at 9:30 AM IST. Globally, 39% of complaints are about chat functionality, 35% concern the app, and 15% relate to the website. In India, 321 reports were recorded, with the peak occurring yesterday at 5:30 PM IST.
