Anil Ambani’s Reliance Aerostructure Limited (RAL) has entered into a strategic partnership with French aviation giant Dassault Aviation to manufacture Falcon 2000 business jets in India. Announced at the Paris Air Show on June 18, 2025, this collaboration will see the establishment of a state-of-the-art final assembly line in Nagpur, Maharashtra—marking the first time Dassault’s Falcon jets will be produced outside France.
This partnership positions India among an elite group of nations—including the United States, France, Canada, and Brazil—that manufacture business jets for the global market. The joint venture, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL), will transform its Nagpur facility into a Centre of Excellence for the Falcon series, including future assembly programs for the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X
The first ‘Made in India’ Falcon 2000 is expected to roll out by 2028, catering to both domestic and international customers. This initiative not only underscores India’s growing prominence in the global aerospace supply chain but also supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) and ‘Make in India for the World’ vision.
The DRAL facility in Nagpur, established in 2017, has already been producing parts for Dassault’s fighter and business jets, including over 100 major subsections for the Falcon 2000. With this new agreement, the facility will now undertake the final assembly of the Falcon 2000, as well as the assembly of the front sections of the Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X, and the wings and complete fuselage of the Falcon 2000.
This development is expected to create high-value jobs, foster advanced manufacturing skills, and attract further investment in India’s aerospace sector. The Nagpur assembly line will cater to rising demand in both Indian and international markets, positioning India as a strategic center for high-end business jet manufacturing.
