Live & motion Photos

Individuals can now exchange more authentic experiences with friends across any platform by sharing Live Photos on iOS and Motion Photos on Android, which capture life in its true form, including sound and movement.

AI Features

Meta AI now enables users to design unique backgrounds for their video chats, allowing them to either situate themselves in a familiar setting or experiment with different ones. Furthermore, AI-generated backdrops can be incorporated when taking photos and videos during conversations. However, these Meta AI features are not yet accessible to all users.

Chat Themes

Earlier this year, Meta introduced Chat Themes, enabling users to customize their conversations. Now, with Meta AI, users can design their own distinctive chat themes and express their creativity.

Android document scanning

Android smartphone users can now directly scan, crop, save, and send documents via WhatsApp, a feature already available on iPhones. Moreover, group chat names can be so creative that they are difficult to recall. Users can now effortlessly locate shared groups by searching for a familiar member on their Chats page.

Sticker Packs

WhatsApp has launched new sticker packs to enhance the liveliness and expressiveness of conversations. These packs include stickers with characters that express emotions non-verbally, like those found in the Fearless Bird, School Days, or Vacation collections.
